Born in Bern, Switzerland, I have a Master’s degree in Sociology as well as a degree in Business administration. I live in the Mont-Vully Region in Switzerland, together with my husband, our Cocker Spaniel and two cats. Since early childhood I was fascinated by the violin, nature and science, especially astronomy and aviation.

Later on, I spent quite a few years working abroad. Next was over a decade in defence. Considering myself a critical thinker, I’m always eager to learn new things and take on a new challenge. At the same time, I enjoy listening to and learning from people.

I rediscovered astronomy a while ago and have been focusing on astrophotography for some time now. Every day, I learn new things. But most importantly, it gives me joy and it puts things into perspective. And it reminds me every time of how unique our Planet Earth is, how much it deserves to be preserved, including all the wildlife animals, and that nature and the universe are filled with endless treasures.

With my best wishes, Isabel
